ABRAFATI PREVIEW 84 | PAINT&PINTURA | Outubro 2017 INKMAKER Once again, Inkmaker Brazil is participating in Abrafati, but even more pleasantly so this year since the company is cele- brating 30 years of existence, according to Fernando Itaziki, director for Latin America. “The main focus of our exhibit is on cementing our leadership position in the market for industrial paint dispensing systems, and in so doing, creating new design possibilities, especially for decorative, industrial, automotive and other paints and coatings, given that Inkmaker already is very well established in the printing ink industry.” Itaziki says that Inkmaker’s equipment range remains the same as proven in the marketplace, albeit emphasis is placed on Polare and Bello, which are more recent units. “These machines have been very well received, as approximately 10 syste- ms have been sold of these two models alone in the past two years in Latin America, thanks to the excellent cost-benefit ratios they deliver. As for what’s new, we have just finished moving to our new address in the municipality of Osasco, São Paulo, where we’re now operating with much more real estate, which allows us to better manage replacement parts, and provide repair and even assembly services on small systems, which makes for improved customer care. We expect Brazil and the region to experience an economic upswing and considerable growth over the next several years, andwe’re getting prepared for that future.” INTERBRASIL Each paint technology requires different properties from titanium dioxide pigments, and that makes it impossible to serve all customers in an ideal fashion with just one multi-purpose product, according to director and co-owner Marcelo Barbosa Lima. “Our big plan for Abrafati 2017 is to showcase our comprehensive range of titanium dioxide pigments. Since early this year, we have added several new products to our portfolio, and now we’re taking the opportunity to introduce all of them together to the market.” Accordingly, after making big investments in finding and developing new suppliers and running tests on new products, Lima says that Interbrasil is introducing its new titanium dioxide product range. “This range includes anatase pigments, chloride-processed rutile grades, as well as sulfate-processed and food-grade rutile pigments. Not only dowe supply those, we also take special orders from customers looking to reduce their production costs, and we have also added an economy titanium dioxide grade and a titanium dioxide extender to our comprehensive portfolio. Thanks to it and the awards we have won, we call ourselves experts on titanium dioxide.” INTERTANK Since 1980, Intertank has been ushering small and medium-sized tank storage solutions in the marketplace, according to Onshore business manager Henri Gonçalves. “Our fight today is to keep guaranteeing to the users of our tanks and ac- cessories total safety in the transportation and storage of hazardous and risk liquid chemicals, which necessarily include flammable fluids. Working in very strict compliancewith the requirements of Resolution 5232 of Brazil’s road transportation agency ANTT, we are all for upholding the precepts of any legislation that is meant to protect the population, which is generally not well informed, from the risks all of us are exposed to while handling these products. “ Gonçalves adds that the company has stainless steel tanks up on the market for sale or lease with capacity values ranging from 500 liters to 10,000 liters. “We also provide agitation and heating systems, internal coatings with plastic liners, and a broad range of services from technical support to preventive and corrective maintenance.” IPEL Ipel, a company specializing in microbiological control solutions, is highlighting at Abrafati 2017 its range of antimicrobial products, microencapsulated microbiocides and insect-repellant additives, according to Giovanni Caritá Junior, director of manufacturing and R&D. “We offer a variety of antimicrobial additives that ensure a 99.99-percent reduction of the bacteria count on the dry coating film, as well as excellent protection against algae and fungi, which adds a functionality to the coatings formulated with them, thereby setting them apart. Other highlighted products include Ipel FBP-440, Ipel Fap-747, and Ipel AgNano 6010, whose active ingredient is based on silver nano-particles.” Caritá Junior says that Ipel has also developed a technology for microencapsulating active ingredients so as to control their
