mica operates an Engineering and Machinery division, which, in fact, is the business that the company is brin-
ging into Brazil. “We represent equipment manufacturers which use cutting-edge technology in Europe, and this
is the division that we want to implement in Brazil on an exclusive basis,” says Alonso, adding that he began to
visit Brazil in July 2010 and realized how promising the Brazilian market is, with excellent growth forecasts.
The company’s goal is to implement a distribution base in Brazil for engineering equipment, providing the in-
dustry with advanced technology from Europe. “We cover all of the coatings industry’s manufacturing processes,
from storage of liquid and solid materials, whether flammable or water-based, to pumping, automation, disper-
sing and grinding, tinting systems for plants, automatic and semi-automatic filling, and automatic and semi-
automatic process tank washing, as well as solvent recovery systems. With our raw materials, equipment and
services, we can set up a complete
plant with high quality, producti-
vity, efficiency and environmental
protection for our customers,”
Alonso points out.
In all of its processes, Arquímica
features important differentia-
tions. “We’ve observed that we
can provide the Brazilian market,
especially, with higher-technology
tinting and filling systems, as well
as state-of-the-art turn-key paint
and resin plant engineering de-
signs. The bottom-line is we can
cover technologically complicated
processes with filling and tinting
systems and automatic process
tank washing systems,” Alonso
points out.
The equipment from Arquímica is
coming to Brazil by direct im-
portation. “As to the cost of our
equipment, we can say that we
are competitive in the Brazilian
market, with quality distinc-
tions. I understand that, when it
comes to implementing a plant
expansion project, it is important
not only to purchase economical
machinery, but also to get sui-
table equipment, with advanced
technology, efficiency and many
years of proper operation, thereby
favoring a rapid pay-back, and
this is what we assure our custo-
mers,” Alonso says.
