duct range.
In 1941, Ferderico Krueder created Química Anastácio,
named after the neighborhood where it was located (Vila
Anastácio), to produce animal glycerin. Almost a deca-
de later, the company added fatty acids of animal origin
to its offerings. In 1997, in order to expand its product
range, the company invested in technology and equipment
to start producing vegetable glycerin and fatty acids, and
then quickly reached a prominent position in such ma-
rkets.
Química Anastácio broke into the chemical distribution
market in 2001 by entering into national and internatio-
nal partnerships with market leaders, thereby incorpora-
ting an extensive range of products for the personal care,
manufacturing and food segments. “Today we have 245
employees. Química Anastácio has grown considerably, or
more than 300 percent over the past five years, which has
made us a leading chemical distributor in Brazil, as well as
one of Brazil’s 1,000 largest companies, according to the
Exame Melhores e Maiores magazine,” says Alessandra Fer-
nandes Guerra, marketing manager at Química Anastácio.
In 2011, for the company’s 70th anniversary, Química
Anastácio expanded its tank plant, starting up two new,
state-of-the-art filling lines. “We’ve struck new distribu-
tion partnerships and are expanding our product range.
We’ve brought our logo up to date and redesigned our
website. We try to be present at the main trade shows for
each segment, such as FCE Cosmetique, which happens an-
nually, and every two years at Household & Autocare, Food
Ingredients South America (FISA) and CPhi, a trade show
focused on the pharmaceutical industry in which we are
participating for the first time this year,” says Alessandra.
Certified quality
