Shows Uttermost Success
The June issue of Paint & Pintura Magazine is something else. The following pages bring you complete coverage of the year’s
most important awards for the paint industry: the 17th Paint & Pintura Awards, presented to 54 suppliers, paint manufac-
turers and personalities. The highlight was a tribute to two personalities of extreme importance to the business, who were
presented with the Special Award for Contribution to the paint industry: Waldemar Lazzuri, owner of Skylack; and Carlos
Celos Russo, technical director at Adexim-Comexim.
One other distinguished recognition was the “Top-10 Master Company” award, which was presented to BASF for the sum of
all references made to it in various categories and the points scored in each.
The presentation ceremony, held on May 3rd at Espaço Vila dos Ipês, in São Paulo, was attended by 883 professionals of the
paint supply chain and honored by the presence of singer Luiza Possi, who made the evening even more special.
Agnelo Editora would like to thank all of those who in any contributed yet again to the presentation of the “Oscar” of the
paint industry, including sponsors, industry associations, paint companies, suppliers and the people who help us present the
awards and certificates every year. We are very grateful to all of you!
This issue also brings you articles on silicas and hydrocarbon solvents for your reading pleasure, highlighting innovations,
performance improvements and their sustainability appeal. In addition, the magazine covers some important events involv-

America. We supply filtration minerals for beverages,
