It honors suppliers, manufacturers and personalities that deserve special recognition for all their dedication and professionalism on behalf of development in the coatings industry and in Brazil. The award presentation is going to take place on March 6 in Fortaleza, the capital city of Ceará (Brazil), at Casa Viriato Buffet, where the winners will be announced in 22 categories, 16 of which for suppliers of raw materials, one for best paint company, and five for personalities of the year. You can also check the results in this issue, in a piece featuring rankings illus- trated with pie charts for companies and personalities alike. Agnelo Editora, the organizer of the Paint & Pintura Awards, is also publishing in this issue the finalists for the grand “Oscar night” of the paint and coatings industry - the 24 th Paint & Pintura Awards. The award presentation ceremony is set to take place on May 15 at Vila dos Ipês, in São Paulo. The award winners, comprising 53 categories altogether, as chosen by professionals across the coatings supply chain, will be announced at the event. Of those, 39 categories are for suppliers of raw materials, eight for paint companies, and six for personalities of the year. The 24 th Paint & Pintura Awards ceremony is expected to be attended by 1,000 people representing manufacturers, sup- pliers and associations - a testament to the importance of these awards for companies of all sizes in Brazil and Latin America. Issue number 252 also brings you the schedule of lectures on technical and management-related topics for the 46 th Paint & Pintura Coatings Technology and Management Forum and Exhibition, which is going to be held before the 3 rd Paint & Pintura Regional Awards, North & Northeast, on March 5 and 6 at Gran Mareiro Hotel, Praia do Futuro, in Fortaleza, Ceará. This is one of the most anticipated regional forums in the marketplace by virtue of its turnouts and general success, so much so that the forum is sponsored by suchmajor companies as Arco Química, BASF, Bomix, Braskem, Brenntag, Diatom, Euroamerican, Lanxess, Morais de Castro, Oxiteno; Arco Química, Carbono Química, Exatacor, GMP, Intercroma, Ipel, Metachem, Miracema-Nuodex, Netzsch, Oxiteno, Petrowan, and Spectracolor, as well as the Brazilian Coatings Manufac- turers Association (Abrafati for short). For the Personality of the Year categories, the survey went into phase two, which wrapped up on January 31, 2020.
