Another very successful attractionat theECSwas InnovationSlam, a congress held
for thefirst time in 2015. It is anentirelyout-of-the-boxpresentation. Theorganizer
set upaboxing ring, and representativesof Bayer, Drikolor, DowandNetworkMo-
dularTechnology literallygot in it todefend their technologies. Inadynamic fashion,
each representativehada fewminutes to introducea certainproduct andwinover
the audience, whowatched euphorically. At the end, spectators votedon the best
technologyusinganapp.Bayerwas thecompanychosenby theaudienceandwona
boxingbelt-shaped trophy.
Heldat the same timeas theEuropeanCoatings Show, theEuropeanCoatingsCon-
gresshadaround700participantsanddiscussedthe latestadvancements inthepaint
and coatings industry. Altogether, 144 lectureswere given simultaneouslywith the
show, discussing themost important aspects of pigments, polyurethanes, biocides,
antibacterial coatings, bio-basedproducts, industrial coatings, powder coatings, and
radiation-curingcoatings.
Vencorex IntroducesNewProducts
Vencorex, inconjunctionwithSitivesp (short forUnionof SãoPauloStatePaint and
CoatingManufacturers inPortuguese), heldonMay7, at theFIESP (SãoPauloState
IndustriesFederation), inSãoPaulo,aneventto introducenewproductsandproduct
development trends in themarketplace.“Ourmaingoalwith thiseventwas toshare
andget relevant informationon theproductswemanufacture, their different appli-
cationsandparticularproperties, and the challenges facing themarket. Basically, to

The event was attended by approximately 40 professionals representing different
companies. Theaudience, consistingof technical, salesandmarketingprofessionals,

on various segments, such as leather finishes, adhesives andother applications for
