M. Cassab
M. Cassab will highlight three new
product lines. The main novelty is
the partnership struck this year
between M. Cassab and Oxiteno
comprising all product lines for
Brazil’s entire territory. Through
this partnership, the companies
provide the market with a new op-
tion for purchasing Oxiteno solvents
and specialty chemicals through M.
Cassab’s head office in Osasco or its
branches strategically located in Re-
cife, Pernambuco; Sapucaia do Sul,
Rio Grande do Sul; Goiania, Goiás;
and Monte Mor, São Paulo.
The company will also stress its
existing partnership with Perstorp,
whereby M. Cassab has been ma-
rketing on an exclusive basis since
last year the Tolonate and Easaqua
aliphatic isocyanates, for use in
polyurethane coating formulations,
as well as the other products from
such important Swedish company,
also stressing the Capa line of
polyester polyols and monomers for
special-effect coatings, and all of
its extensive range of intermediate
chemicals for resins.
Also to be launched is a product
line manufactured by M. Cassab
itself, the RocDispers line of water-
based and solvent-based pigment
concentrates for a wide variety of
applications in decorative paints.
M. Cassab has drawn on its exten-
sive experience in formulating and
producing for other industries to
develop such high-quality products.
MC Group
MC Group will be there once again
reaffirming its commitment to
the paint and coatings industry,
exhibiting its products at its stand
at Abrafati, in a comfortable space
to receive customers and suppliers
from all over the world in order to
introduce new offerings to a market
that is thirsty for news and part-
ners who are actually commitment
to the development of the industry.
The new products introduced by the
MC Group include liquid and solid
epoxy resins and complements, such
as curing agents, reactive dilutants,
isophoronediamine (IPDA) and
polyamides. Organic pigments will
also be on display as part of the
company’s extensive product range.
In addition, qualified professionals
will be available to provide the best
technical guidance and all of the
support required.
The MC Group provides differen-
tiated titanium dioxide pigments
for the paint and coatings industry
under its own trademark and from
local stocks, of which MC Titan
1002 and MC Titan 1003 have been
gaining more and more recognition
as highly tested and proven pro-
ducts for paints and related pro-
ducts.
Merck
Merck, a German multinatio-
nal with more than 340 years of
existence, operates in the pharma-
ceutical and chemical industries.
In the chemical industry, Merck’s
pigment division produces and ma-
rkets state-of-the-art pearlescent
pigments, functional pigments and
synthetic pigments for cosmetic and
industrial applications (plastics,
printing, industrial and automotive
coatings).
Abrafati is an environment that
provides a great opportunity for
receiving customers, with the in-
dispensable presence of technical
expert Guido Olbers, from Merck
Germany. Merck’s product range
includes the traditional Iriodin pe-
arlescent pigment with interference
effects, the Colorstream multicolor
pigments for plastics, the Xirallic
pigments with glitter and sparkle
properties, the Miraval high-gloss
sparkling effect pigments, Bi-Flair,
a line of high-gloss, uniform-color
pigments, and the Pyrisma line,
for more intense colors. The most
recently launched pigments to be
on display are Xirallic T61-10 WNT
Micro Silver, Colorstream T10-06
Royal Damask, and Miraval 95311
WR Scenic White.
Metachem
Metachem has been engaged in the
business of representing and distri-
buting chemicals since its founda-
tion in 1988. The company supplies
specialty chemicals and performan-
ce products, with a range of more
than 300 different products used in
various industries, such as paints
and coatings, adhesives, foods and
beverages, animal feeds, plastics,
cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, lubri-
cants, water and wood treatment,
and photograph development.
Metachem will be at Abrafati 2009

Midland will be highlighting its
