EvonikcontinuestobeoptimisticaboutBrazil’sgrowthpoten-
tialandaboutplayinganactivepart inthatgrowth.
Havingannouncedmajor investmentsandacquisitionsover
thepast few years, Evonikhas kickedoff 2017by announc-
ing twomore acquisitions. The companyhas completed its
acquisitionofAirProducts’specialtyadditivesbusinessforthe
amountofUS$3.8billion, andofJ.M.Huber’ssilicabusiness
forUS$630million.
EvonikisalsomakingaseriesofinvestmentsinBrazil,including
theopeningofthreeplantsinthepastthreeyears-twoplants
inAmericana,SãoPaulo,andone inthetownofCastro,Paraná -,a
newoffice inSãoPaulo,SãoPaulo,andtheexpansionof itsservice
andsalescapabilities.
